General Purpose
Our company is a foreign capital based consultancy company, based in Shanghai specialised in Business Management dedicated to sustainable development of public service sectors as of risk prevention, transport, energy and various urban network infrastructures.
Our company is involved in different research programs and keep permanently focused on innovative technologies. Today, almost every body use Mobile phones and tablets and the supporting technologies, and we want to provide advanced services to our customers based on these emerging technologies.
In this context, our company proposed to a motivated student to join the team and contribute to our R&D activities as an intern, studying the exciting and innovative field of Mobile GIS technologies.
Major Missions and Responsibilities
The goal of this project is to study and to develop an embedded GIS architecture designed for Moble or PDA or Tablet applications. This project is related to:
- Mobile technologies
- GIS technologies
- MMI development, especially tactile interactions for map applications
- Open Source technologies
The intern will be in charge
- to study and make a state of the art and a report about PDA and Mobile GIS applications. Given the fast growing 3G technology, the intern will also take in account the BS access possibilities for Mobile GIS applications
- develop a prototype of a simple embedded GIS application, both on server and client sides.
Required Education background and Professional Profile
his internship requires strong abilities to contribute to IT development. The following skills are required:
- HTML/CSS knowledge
-Javascript development
- At least one experience(student project) with one of the following languages: Java, C, C++, C#
- At least one Data Base development experience(Oracle, MySQL, Postgres...)
- The student must be autonomous and organized
- English is the working language, French is a plus
