Main Responsibilities and Duties
Quality and Food Safety
- Ensure the operation of all IKEA FOOD production areas within the IKEA Store, in accordance with IKEA Quality, Food Safety, HACCP and Environmental requirements and other relevant legislation.
- Develop and implement the local food range to complement the national range matrix, in conjunction with the Commercial direction
Range and Range Presentation
- Maximise vitality and commerciality of IKEA FOOD in your store by ensuring that the local range is developed and presented in a fresh and appealing way to ensure customer satisfaction and complements the national range matrix and is in conjunction with the Commercial direction
Leadership HR & Communication
- Ensure that all co-workers in the IKEA FOOD Production team understand the IKEA Concept and how this impacts on their specific roles. Train co-workers in range, recipes, food safety and food preparation ensuring the highest standards of presentation, quality and diligence to meet or exceed Food Safety requirements.
Efficiency
- Ensure the efficient organisation of the Production Areas in relation to financial performance i.e. gross profit, costs, hours planning, productivity levels, absence management and holiday planning to agreed service levels.
Business Navigation
- Develop, agree with the IKEA FOOD Manager and communicate to your team an annual action plan for Food Production to execute the national IKEA FOOD business plan. Monitor and evaluate the success of this plan in order to influence future plans.

Requirements
Knowledge
At least 2-3 years of Food production / Kitchen management experience.
Experience in managing co-workers successfully
Advanced knowledge of Food Production, national Food Safety and HACCP
Ability to speak and understand written English
Ability to read and analyse KPI's.
Computer literate.
Motivation
Has high energy in motivating and developing (training, coaching, etc) co-workers.
Has a strong drive, continuously striving to improve the business.
Passionate about people.
Interest in life at home and home furnishings.
Finds motivation in, and lives, the IKEA values and acts in line with the IKEA Leadership Criteria
Capability
A person that has the potential to become an IKEA FOOD Manager, alternatively another Management position within the store.
Demonstrates service minded and customer oriented attitude and focus
Has business overview, has a "hands on approach" and is able to go from strategy to results.
Analytical skills.
Must have multi-tasking capabilities
Clear and effective communication, presentation and influencing skills.
Good organisational skills.
