Product Line: Household Products (including tableware, cookware, bakeware etc.)

GENERAL MISSION

Deliver the right product at the right place and quality. Creates and Manages the relationship of a pool of suppliers: negotiates, monitors offers follow-up and products validations in line with the BU strategy as well as Auchan standards and Ethical Rules. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Sources, opens, evaluates, classifies and develops suppliers using company tools (VSC) and through regular meetings

-          Manages suppliers contracts (CDR-CDS)

-          Visits regularly trade fairs showrooms and factories to keep his product - market knowledge updated

-          Makes sure RFQs are sent to the right suppliers, follows quotations and sampling

-          Organizes Buyers / Products Manager trips, participates with a leading role.

-          Negotiates prices whenever necessary using cost breakdown technique.

-          Keeps a shared record of all discussions, negotiations and decisions taken during meetings

-          Validates products (color, size, shape, function…) with the help of the relevant expert in our organization before production.

-          Checks packaging, labelling

-          Organizes weekly meetings with products team

-          Maintain track of all comments pertaining to one product at all time

INTERFACES

DPC VDA: Buying Team / Product Team / Development teams / Quality Teams / Packaging Teams / Finance Team

Sourcing Office:  Merchandiser Production / Development Teams/ Quality & Compliance Team / Admin

External: Suppliers / Accessories suppliers / Labs

All the activities should be on the basis of Auchan ethic rules.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

1.     College degree or above  

2.     Fluent in English speaking and written.

3.     More than 5 years work experience at sourcing/purchasing/merchandiser position, at least 3 years work experience with focusing on sourcing area. Preferable from hardgoods industry including but not limited to garden tools, gifts, outdoor leisure products, household products etc.

4.     Have good knowledge of supplier management and factory production. Can read and understand simple drawings. 

5.     Have knowledge of international trade, with strong ability in sourcing and product development

6.     Be able to work pro-active, independent and handle multiple projects/products under pressure.

7.     Loyal and honest to company, and strong team spirit.

8.     Can travel, if needed.
