Senior Electrical Engineer @ Global Projects & Automation at BMS
Major Responsibilities
- Global partner for all questions related to Electrical Engineering
1. Represent the technical competence for the assigned area at BMS PCT sites world wide
2. Provide guidance and support for projects, operation and maintenance
3. Development and definition of global valid concept for electrical installations
(1) Electrical networks and transformation
(2) Low voltage distribution from 400V up to 690V
(3) Power factor correction systems
(4) Uninterruptible power supply
(5) Lighting, lightning, earthing / grounding, EMC, potential equalization
(6) Installation in ex-proof areas
(7) Electrical Safety
4. Represent the technical competence for the assigned area at BMS PCT sites world wide
5. Provide guidance and support for projects, operation and maintenance
6. Development and definition of global valid concept for electrical installations
(1) Electrical networks and transformation

7. Global contact person for suppliers - and driver for development, market and technology evaluation
8. Preparation and execution of presentations / briefings / training of operational, PCT and other technical staff
9. Trouble shooting, analysis of malfunctions in PCT installations and follow-up actions
10. Experience exchange with experts from other sub-groups / locations / business
11. Provide field support, and participate in check out, commissioning and start up

1. BMS Plants Electrical experts at engineering, maintenance and operations
2. Bayer Service Organizations and other Subgroups
3. PCT project engineers
4. PCT maintenance engineers
5. Manufacturers and suppliers of Standard-equipment for electrical goods
6. Procurement for technical goods within Bayer
7. Engineering and Construction Companies
- Additional tasks
1. Development and fine tuning of documentation tools
2. Ensure the technology leadership due to usage of up-to-date technology
3. Usage of synergies for creating global concepts and standards
4. Strive for a sustainable added value while tacking investment and technology

Education, Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor or above from engineering university ( Top engineering university is highly preferred
- Experience of working with overseas manufacturing industry
- Able to work independently with minimal direction
- 8+ years of experience in design and / or maintenance of Electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, MCC, frequency converters and electric motors, arc fault and short circuit analysis, load studies, …….
- 8+ years of working experience with international teams
- Ability to understand and evaluate technical input for engineering concepts, drawings and strategies
- Knowledge of relevant national and international standards in the area of electrical distribution low/medium/high voltage
- Beneficial would be knowledge of High voltage systems
- Basic knowledge of DCS systems, process control instrumentation and related sub-areas
- Excellent verbal and written skills in Chinese and English
- Willing to join global meetings after normal working hours on occasional basis
- Willing to do business trips to foreign countries
- Open und trustful communication within the global team
