This position is part of AP Engineering team in Shanghai. The objective is to strengthen AP Engineering team to develop and perform effective material corrosion support to industrial plants in AP for their operational excellence including safety, competitiveness investments optimization. Position is mainly in China but also includes other AP sites, and requires to keep close cooperation and liaison with the worldwide organization and competency.
Considering the growth in Asia, it has been agreed to hire Material Corrosion Engineer whose immediate added value will be:
- Support implementation of preventive maintenance action plan on plants (Definition of critical equipment, Shut down support, monitoring, trainings of industrial teams, identification and qualification of suppliers for NDT and repairs) in order to avoid any HSE or OEE issues.
- Perform failure analysis in case of damages on equipment in partnership with plant staff and network.
- Optimize technological choices in field of materials (material selection, comments on design of equipment to avoid specific issues...) and support their application in collaboration with network, manufacturing follow up team and maintenance teams and/or project teams.
- Contribute to material standards and provide recommendation for the use of equipment in relation with network and process teams.
Requirement:
- Master Degree in Material, Metallurgy or Corrosion fields with 5 years experience or PhD in similar field can candidate.
- Minimum 5 years' working experience in the related industry (pharmaceutical or petrochemical), for material corrosion support
- Ability to perform failure analysis and NDT testing as well as inspection.
- Ability to understand and corrosion phenomena as well as capacity to understand chemical engineering processes.
- Good skill in computer, familiar with office software.
- Fluent in written and verbal English and Chinese and good skills for communication in both languages
- Working proactively with result oriented and teamwork spirit
