Power Train Engineering Calibration and EMS Senior Engineer responsible for the engine calibration and EMS required to install OEM engines into local China vehicles. Knowledge of transmission calibration would be advantageous. Initially this role will require confirmation over-checks for a localisation program where components are "make to print", transitioning to new models requiring complete installation and a full calibration test program as future programmes develop.
Lead engine calibration activities from programme start to launch inc. target setting, system development, facility engagement, relevant build support activities, vehicle sign-off including production validation - reporting out the programme team. Must be able to deliver the complete calibration activity into the vehicle to meet the core brand attributes including starting, driveablity, idle stability, OBD2.
1. Degree in Engineering / Engineering related field (BEng / BSC) - BEng Mechanical Engineering Desirable
2. At least 5 year relevant petrol calibration experience
3. Good technical powertrain system knowledge incl. interactions between powertrain systems
4. Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
5. Experience of joint venture component localisation with multi national OEM
6. Willing to travel within China and Internationally
7. Willing to take the lead and challenge others to deliver
8. Good general computer skills inc. MS office suite
