-Target setting and development for vehicle and system levels(SDS)
-Manage vehicle dynamics according to APC deliverables
-Benchmarking competitor vehicles
-CAE model correlation and method development
-Managing a team of PAT leaders and CAE analysts
-Developing and improving processes for delivering the vehicle dynamics attribute during the APC phase and easing downstream task
-Development of standards & design rules to improve quality, robustness and delivery efficiency
-Structured approach to problem solving, due to the complex interactions between systems
-Mentoring and developing individuals
-Additional objectives:
-Attribute quality review (APEAL, NCBS, CQI etc.)
-Attribute futuring (Technology Cycle plan, Competitor analysis)
-System strategy review input
-KFC management
-Dynamics requirements and DVM (RMDV)
1.Educated to degree level
2.Good specific knowledge of vehicle dynamics theory and data analysis, plus how this relates to vehicle level behaviour
3.Knowledge of PCS deliverables
4.Knowledge of CAE tools and objective methods employed in Vehicle Dynamics
5.Excellent programme management skills, proven by delivery of a complex project involving multiple systems, facilities & resources
6.Minimum 5 years experience in Vehicle Dynamics or Chassis Engineering
7.Experience of solving complex technical issues using a structured approach
8.Experience of vehicle dynamics subjective assessment
9.Ability to present technical issues to all levels of the Company
10.Strong leadership behaviours, particularly those relating to integrity and building relationships, to maintain an environment of close team working with Chassis Engineering as well as other Attribute groups
