Requirement:-

- Register Professional Enginer or Chartered Engineer is preferred.

- Acreditated by recognised instituition as Functional Safety Engineer in SIS is a must.

- Competent in specify safety requirements is a must for layout, separation, area classification, ISC, fire and gas detection and alarm, ESD, blowdown, control of spills, active firefighting, passive firefighting, PFP, CSP, ventilation pressurization and ACH, emergency communication, escape and evacuation.   

- 15 to 20 years working experience in the field of Formal Safety Assessment and Asset Integrity in offshore installation particularly FPSO, FLNG, Center Process Platform is a must.

- Formal Safety Assessment is a must and shall at least cover the areas of HAZID, HAZOP, SIL Classification, SIL Verification, MAH, SECE, PS, FERA, SGDA, NFHA, Helicopter Crash Risk, Ship Collision, Dropped Object, DAL, Flare Radiation and Dispesion, Vent Dispersion, Thermal Dispersion and Turbulent Analysis, ESSA, EERA, TRIA, ALARP, QRA, Safety Case.

- Asset Integrity is a must and shall at least cover the area of Noise and Vibration, AIV, FIP, Hydraulic Calculation, Transient Analysis, RAM.

- Expert level in hazardous area schedule for layout.

- For a offshore installation with very complicated topsides process facilities and in the absent of modelling software, capable to:

(a) perform part count and leak frequency calculation and event tree outcome analysis.

(b) determine via empirical equation method the event outcome scenarios from the leak source.

(c) perform empirical equation calculation for very complicated topsides process facilities for hydrocarbon release rate that decay with time including blowdown effect.

(d) perform empirical equation calculation for jet fire/pool fire size, jet fire/pool fire heat raditions, explosion loads and impulse.

(e) perform flare radiation calculation for flare stack height.

(f) perform noise calculation.

(g) perforform SIL calculation.

(h) perform QRA fatality risk calculation.

- For a very large offshore installation with very complicated topsides process facilities, expert level in:

(a) identify fire protection requirement.

(b) preparing all type of firefighting and firewater systems P&IDs and equipment and pipe sizing.

(c) perform fire water demand and foam demand calculation.

(d) perform hydraulic calculation simulation via PipeNet tool for entire firewater network.

(e) perform hydraulic transient simulation via PipeNet tool for entire firewater network.

Other expectation are:

- Competent in intepreting performance test data, site test report.

- Decision for acceptance of site acceptance test results and commissioning acceptanace test results for fire pumps, hydrant, foam system, gas extinguishing system and deluge system.
