Main Purpose:
To provide a Technical/Administration support role to the Q.A, QC & Technical function.
Key Tasks:

1.To support the compiling of and maintenance of robust technical files on all Solent group sourced & manufactured products.
2.The Job Holder will provide administration support to aid the new line post selection follow up procedure.
This will encompass :
a:Liaising with suppliers to clarify any outstanding issues;
b:Providing the QA Manager and Technicians with regular updates on outstanding issues;
c:Constant review of progress against active project listings to ensure that all information is both accurate, up to date and uploaded to customer technical sites.
3.To liaise with Third Party Providers to ensure that test results are issued within the agreed deadlines, relaying information regarding delays to the respective manufacturer for immediate rectification and submission of modified samples.
4.To liaise with suppliers regarding documentary requirements, pre-shipment inspections and factory audit queries, which form part of the follow up process.
5.Support the Compliance team on maintaining the Solent master factory Log.
6.Support the QC Manager with co coordinating inspections with Factories. This will require Liaising with Commercial teams in HK to establish shipment dates and ensure Inspections arranged accordingly.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

?Must be PC literate and familiar with current business software applications.

?Must have excellent communication skills with a high degree of organizational and administrative competence.

?The Job Holder will be expected to hold a full clean driving license and be able to travel where requested.
?Must have relevant Technical experience.

COMPLEXITY AND CREATIVITY

?The Job Holder will be expected to work closely with counterparts across the business to gain an understanding of their role and the link with Technical.
?Must be adaptable and capable of dealing with both the wide and varied workload within very tight timescales.

?The Job Holder must be capable of producing bespoke reports.

JUDGEMENTS AND DECISIONS

?To aid the QA Manager, Technicians, Compliance Manger & QC Manager in identifying any quality improvement process that benefit both Solent & Customers.

?The Job Holder will be responsible for chasing information on outstanding new line issues in order that range launch deadlines are achieved. This will involve the checking and verification of information obtaining from suppliers to ensure that it is both accurate and relevant prior to approval by the relevant Technicians, Compliance Manger & QC Manager.

?The Job Holder will be expected to update the technical files and escalate any issues.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Job Holder is expected to provide the Technical team with both timely and effective administration support on an on-going basis.
The Job Holder will be totally responsible for planning and controlling the level and pace of their work flow, to meet established and very strict timetables (Product launch dates).
The Job Holder must be capable of maintaining focus and provide enthusiastic positive input to help maintain motivation within the team.

CONTACTS AND COMMUNICATION
The Job Holder will liaise with suppliers, Agents, Third Party Providers and UK offices. Any complex issues will be pursued by the Technicians, Compliance Managers, QC Manager or QA Manager.
