Job Title: Senior Analog Applications Engineer

Location: Shanghai

We're looking for Senior Application Engineer to join our team.

Key Qualifications

· MSEE (or equivalent) required with 5+ years design experience or BSEE (or equivalent) with 7+ years design experience

· Deep understanding of custom design methodologies and strong hands-on design experience at leading-edge process nodes, as well as relative physical verification and RC extraction experience

· Capability of scripting languages like Unix Shell, Perl, TCL, SKILL is also required

· Excellent verbal and written presentation/communication skills are mandatory

· Customer sensitivity, the ability to multiplex many issues & set priorities and have a helpful/caring attitude towards customers, and the desire to help customers exploit new technologies are essential for success in the position

Preferred Experience

· The Analog/Mixed Signal AE (AMS) plays a critical role in the success of Synopsys customers as they design custom ICs which push the limits of complexity, time to market and silicon technology

· The AMS AE works with customers to solve complex technical challenges in area of full custom design flow, including circuit design, SPICE simulation and custom layout based on Synopsys Custom Compiler platform

· Customer support roles include training, problem resolution, methodology guidance, and technical account management

· The AMS AE is expected to manage multiple customer issues concurrently and be very effective at interacting with them

· They will not only work with design engineers, but first or second level management as well

· The AMS AE will be able to discuss customer issues regarding Laker, Custom Compiler, and full custom design methodologies involving SNPS tools

· The AMS AE aligns with Sales to exceed quota as they proactively manage customer accounts for success. Sales support roles include product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive benchmarking

· The AMS AE plays an active role in account planning and working as part of the account team to develop solutions to customer problems based on their insight into the customers’ needs and issues

· They also provide technical feedback to Synopsys product development teams pertaining to critical issues and recommended enhancements
