Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage Starch product lines to meet the Short term & Long terms business objectives and performance target for Asia pacific region, which Include the following:
A: Current Products/Market:
1. Ensure smooth availability of products for sale in terms of capacity, delivery and quality by close coordination with relevant cross functional team.
2. Constantly assess product performance in terms of Sales, profitability and drive the necessary actions for price revision / cost out initiatives, if required.
3. Facilitate the technical, Marketing, Pricing and after sales service support to country sales to meet their requirements.
4. Assess product Customization request in terms of commercial and technical viability. Drive Product requisition to manage the specific deliverables like Price, Specs and lead time (if any)
B: New Products/Market:
5. Identify and prioritize new market/application proposals by in depth analysis of Market, Competition, End user, direct customer, Regulation and Current products performance. Ensure new proposals are inline with the country needs and business strategies.
6. Drive NPI programs to accomplish the specified deliverables Specification, Product appearance, Lead time, Investment and cost target. Support relevant cross functional team to ensure that the programs adhered to the defined process. Active participation into the Global AMAP group (Food and Pharma Modified starches).
7. Drive the product commercialization with appropriate go to market. Ensure efficient Product launches with appropriate sales tools and marketing/commercial materials to reduce innovation to market lead time. Provide clear pricing strategy to sales team to ensure target profitability. Coordinate with country sales to revalidate the volume demands and provide forecast to supply chain for advance planning.
8. Lead applicative studies in order to meet market positioning and expectations
C: General:
9. Support sales team by delivering product presentations, Product training and need base involvement on high visibility projects an key accounts.
10. Support relevant functions to meet the business target of Volume, Margin, Price, Cost and Inventory
11. Ensure the products, policies and processes are in alignment with Regulations and compliances.
12. Lead new Product code creation.
13. Lead the production localization of food modified starches.
Qualification/Requirements:
1. BS or MS degree in Food Science (Food Processes or Nutrition) with marketing or sales background
2. 5+ Years working experience in relevant field
3. Good teamwork spirit, strong self-initiative
4. Good communication & influence skill and able to work well both internally and externally
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and capability of solving tough problems
6. Willing to travel as business requires
7. Fluency in both spoken and written English
