Critical Job Elements 

 

？ Primary work on the x86 product and MCU, focus on embedded software development including Linux driver/BSP/application. e.g. EC/IPMC/BMC, peripheral driver 

？ Closely work with S.W/H.W architecture team and review product requirements and schedule, especially for non-firmware requirement.

？ Write software documentations (feasibility study report, Software specification etc.)

？ Design and Develop Software based on the product requirements

？ Review and comment on the Software test plan.

？ Software maintenance and refactoring.  

？ Contribute to project estimation and planning.

 ？ Contribute to software engineering process improvement.

 ？ Assist colleagues with training or skill development.

？ Provide status report to software manager and project manager.

？ Direct report to software manager 

 

Qualifications 

 

？ BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent or equivalent work experience is required.

？ 3 years+ experience in software development based on x86/Linux

？ Deep understanding of operating systems (Linux primarily) 

？ Proficient at Linux kernel, driver, BSP.

？ Familiar with x86/x64 architecture

？ Familiar with bus protocol like PCI Express, I2C, SPI

？ Familiar with software configuration management like GIT

？ Familiar with BIOS/IPMI/BMC/EC/ATCA/shelf-management is plus

？ Familiar with TCP/IP/Ethernet protocol, network programming is pus

？ Deep understanding of software engineering process and software quality is required

？ Strong English written and verbal communications skills are required.

？ Great communication skills and well-organized, disciplined.
