Position Title: Sourcing Agent - Asia

Position Qualifications:



· Bachelor's degree holder in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade or relative disciplines.

· Experience in Purchasing or International Sourcing.

· Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes especially for metal, wood and plastic products.

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

· Good project management, negotiation and time management skills.

· Engineering and Quality Assurance knowledge and understanding is beneficial.

· Ability and willingness to travel.

· Takes initiative and is a team player.

· Relevant experience is a plus in P.O.P. industry.

· PC literate in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).

· Knowledge of business systems (MRP, ERP, Min/Max planning).

· Fluent in English and Chinese language. The candidate should pass the 6th grade of CET or have the equal level.


Job Function:



· Researches new and develops existing suppliers to meet company standards. Requests, analyzes and negotiates supplier quotations to ensure the best possible costs are achieved. Manages development projects to ensure key metrics are achieved. Works with internal and external customers on continuous improvement programs.




Key Duties:



· Work as sourcing liaison for FFR-DSI and its Asian supply base.

· Identifies potential new suppliers and works with QA on supplier qualification.

· Requests supplier quotations for new and existing items.

· Negotiates supplier pricing/terms.

· Tracks and manages the tooling development process including sample approval (new, revised, refurbished).

· Works effectively with suppliers to comply with FFR-DSI "Supplier Requirements".

· Facilitates and manages cost-down initiatives including Value Analysis and Value Engineering.

· Produces, maintains and utilizes various reports for commodity management.

· Provides prompt, accurate service to US office as required.

· Works effectively with others to collaborate on supplier strategy, cost initiatives and new product development.

· Other duties as assigned.
