Automotive Body Engineer

Objective of job: Manage the body and exterior Bench testing programs. Control and manage programs withing established targets.

Experience & Education: BS or MS in related field with knowledge of body and exterior component manufacturing, DVP&R, Life cycle testing, Reliability and Durability analysis.

Skills

General Skills:
Fluent in written and spoken English, Proficient in MS office, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Good presentation skills.

Functionality Skills & Technical Skills: .
Knowledge of China and International test standards, requirements and techniques.
Knowledge of DVP&R, DV-PV testing, Product certification and qualification, China CCC requirements.

Management & Leadership Skills:
Ability to work with minimal direction, self starter, motivated and organized, Good teamwork and communication skills, Ability to work as part of a multi-national team.

Task Description:

1. Manage and grow the Body trim and bench testing department to provide analysis, input and direction for all body and exterior components.

2. Work with Vehicle integration team to create and coordinate test plans for each program. Help determine reliability and confidence level targets.

3. Determine budget and manpower requirements to meet program goals.

4. Provide expert advice and recommendations regarding test plans as DV/PV plans are developed. Work to identify and develop test facilities for future projects.
