Job Title: Supply Quality Engineer


Job Description:
The successful candidate will apply lean and process improvement
methodologies and ISO tools to improve supplier productivity, quality,
cycle, and delivery performance. The Supplier Quality Engineer will
report to the Asia Sourcing Leader and lead the Supplier Qualification
and Development efforts for the various Service platforms in Asia.

Responsibilities:
Drive consistency and ensure compliance to all customer
Sourcing Quality and qualification requirements for Electrical,
Mechanical and related products
Provide technical guidance to suppliers to ensure
product/process compliance with applicable standards and
engineering specifications
Lead and track supplier/part qualifications & surveillance
activities for assigned commodities or segments
Monitor supplier performance; identify and drive process
improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action
implementation
Review & interpret customer requirements; review & approve
supplier quality documentation
Evaluate Supplier performance trends via Non-conformance
reports and Delivery reports
Take proactive action with Suppliers that demonstrate
unfavorable performance trends
Partner with Sourcing to establish methods of evaluating
existing suppliers, and approve potential suppliers through
various assessment screens and quality metrics
Support internal and external ISO audits
Coordinate with Customer Quality resources, as needed, when
Corrective Actions flow from the Customer to the Supply base
Work with suppliers, internal customers, other Supplier Quality
resources, and business leadership as needed to meet goals
and communicate performance
Proactively perform Quality and EHS audits for initial
qualification and ongoing surveillance
Establish capacity plans for supply base to minimize, eliminate
escaping defects and identify internal/external improvements



Minimum Requirements:

BS Technical degree or equivalent experience
5+ years experience in Manufacturing and Sourcing Quality or
related experience managing Product and Supplier Quality;
Manufacturing Process Plans; Managing Qualifications to
Specifications of Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
5+ years fastener experience
Demonstrated ability to work independently, but strong
Teamwork Skills
Supplier management experience
Familiar with interpretation of engineering drawings /
specifications, and manufacturing process evaluation
Familiar with process control tools- Strong communication
skills
Strong PC skills (MS office suite)
Fluent English & Chinese speaking & writing skills
Willingness and ability to travel (>50%) within Asia, including
Korea, and China as needed.
Proven track record of the highest integrity level (reference
check required)

Statistics training & experience
Supply Chain Management experience
ISO system experience
Sourcing Experience
Working Knowledge of and application of
UL/CE/CSA/IEC/ASTN/ANSI and other relevant Global
Regulatory Codes
