With our Business Tech Hubs we want to create a global and collaborative network for the newly formed function and make sure that our Business Tech products are achieving desired effects in the markets and are relevant for our customers & colleagues in different parts of the world.

About the position

As a Technical Engineer, you will build and maintain technology platforms to enable software solutions to be deployed and run independently by the software engineers. Regardless of area, tools or languages, you will also build and/or configure solutions that are easy to maintain and change, enabling a constant delivery pace to be kept indefinitely. This is achieved through continuous attention to technical excellence and good design, with extensive use of automation.

This is one of the first roles to be recruited to our Business Tech hubs and you will therefor play an important role in setting the found action for the future hub organization and capabilities. Working with a focus on value creation, growth and serving customers with full ownership and accountability. Delivering exceptional customer and business results. Furthermore, we believe you can:

• Define and change the platform architecture based on the needs of the stakeholders and new technologies and innovations
• Design, implement and maintain technology platforms to enable software solutions to run in a performant and secure environment
• Provide tools and support to software and data engineers to operate platforms self-sufficiently enabling DevOps
• Develop and implement stable and scalable software systems that improves availability and reduces latency of systems or products/services
• Provide options for how the solution could be evolved to provide even more value
• Drive refactoring of legacy systems, to help enable decoupling and modernize the software architecture
• Build the simplest possible solution that fulfils functional and quality requirements
• Actively apply best practices within CI/CD
• Ensure high quality of developed technical solutions
• Deliver on time, demonstrating strong commitment to deliver on the team mission and agreed backlog
• Create knowledge and produce the necessary documentation

• Design a platform architecture based on most recent technologies and innovations
• Maintain the technology platform with advanced monitoring and support solutions
• Support software and data engineers with the operation of software solutions
• Build high-performing and secure software solutions according to the customer needs with given tools and languages
• Solve complex problems with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
• Absorb and apply the latest trends and technologies within software design, architecture and engineering
• Test and deploy technical solutions, including automated testing and test data creation
• Collaborate effectively with Engineers in other Product or Enabling engineering teams to solve and reduce technical dependencies

• Specialist within one scripting language (e.g. Python or Java)
