3D Technical Designer – Fine Art fabrication

Vacancy at European fine art production company, based in Qidong, Jiangsu Provence.

We are a Swiss art production company with offices in Shanghai city center and production workshops in Qidong, Jiangsu province. We are seeking a 3D Technical Designer to be based in Jiangsu, working with an international team to produce large scale artworks for both the Chinese and international markets. http://www.swiss-artfoundry.com/

What you’ll need:

· Very good skills using Rhino 3D CAD program.

· Good communication skills in Chinese and English.

· 5+ years working experience

· Background experience in Prototyping, Mold-making, Structural Engineering, Steel Detailing, Industrial Design, Architecture or similar

· Enthusiasm to learn new skills and techniques.

· Willing to work closely with Project Managers and Production teams, and help with other aspects of production and planning as needed.

· Strong attention to detail.

Beneficial skills:

· Blender, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks or other CAD program

· Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator 

What you’ll do

· Produce structural steel designs.

· Work remotely with 3D designers in Switzerland.

· Read emails and discuss projects with Project Managers and Production teams.

· Help to plan the design, construction and international transport of art works.

· Research new materials and find production suppliers in China.

· Transfer information and instructions to our production teams and supplier companies.
