The Academic and Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that the overall academic standards are met for all the services offered by the EF Labs Academic Services Operations Team. This will be achieved through lesson observations, weekly monitoring of writing corrections, design and delivery of training based on employees' and company's needs as well as on-going quality assurance.

Background

Essential
. College/University graduate
. A recognized TEFL qualification (min. 100 hours + observed practice)
. A minimum of 3 years' EFL teaching experience
. Computer-literate (proficient in MS Office and Internet)
Preferable
. Diploma-level EFL teaching qualification and/or Masters in TEFL or related subject
. Previous supervisory experience, preferably in an educational environment
. General office skills including writing memos, reports, minutes and charts, organizing and chairing meetings, professional presentations

Main responsibilities:
. Supporting online teaching and writing correction centers to ensure academic quality;
. Regularly evaluate quality in the services (teaching and writing correction) delivered by centers, establishing clear goals and priorities for improvement and development;
. Planning and implementing ongoing teacher and writing corrector training programs;
. Helping to recruit freelance teachers and writing correctors;
. Achieving quality targets relating to student satisfaction and Englishtown standards;
. Developing and updating academic training materials and manuals;
. Liaising with product development teams and centre staff daily;
. Participating in testing of new services and products;
. Facilitating product updates and implementation of new services offered;
. Working with admin and project teams to maintain effective day-to-day operations.

Working hours and location:
The Academic and Quality Manager will be based out of the EF Shanghai headquarters and will work for 40 hours per week. Occasional travel for conferences, audits, etc. may also be required.
