岗位职责:

Summary of Responsibilities:
Carry out hospital policies and procedures, provide quality of care to all patients, must always be ready to assess and treat a variety of life threatening and non life threatening injuries and illnesses from minor throat infections to heart attacks and severe traumas caused by accidents or violence. Provide assisting care for patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological disorders etc. who may need basic life support or mechanical ventilation and simple noninvasive cardiovascular monitoring support in TCU

Responsibilities:
? Care for patients with medical illnesses including strokes, myocardial infarctions, traumatic injuries, drug overdose etc.
? Must always be ready to assess and treat a variety of life threatening and non life threatening injuries and illnesses from minor throat infections to heart attacks and severe traumas caused by accidents or violence
? Triage patient care depending upon patient needs.
? Proficient working with patients and families and providing education
? Capable of using defibrillator, ventilator/portable ventilator, cardiac monitoring and resuscitator,infusion pump etc.accordingly
? Competent to assist physician for intubation, central venous catheter, arterial line insertion, lumbar puncture, casting, suturing procedures and procedural sedation
? Capable of using defibrillator, ventilator, cardiac monitor, infusion pump, syringe pump, feeding pump,and resuscitator ect
? Care of patients who has ETT tube, tracheostomy, CVP, arterials, chest tube, PICC, etc. of all kinds of tubes and drainage care.
? Assess,plan,implement and evaluate health care services for patients who need more intensive monitoring or need mechanical ventilation etc
? Care for dying patients and provide education and support to family members faced with critical decisions.
? Response to code blue hospital wide
? Float among various clinical services, where qualified and competent
? Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
? Effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing.
? Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
? Carry out hospital’s policy and procedure properly
? Take preceptor role to provide new nurse orientation and training in the department.
? Interact with own staff, physicians and other department’s staff
? Works as key player in ER/TCU nursing expertise
? Professionalism and positive work attitude
