Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for the international trade logistics operation in designated area, including but not limited to finished goods, raw material, sample import and export.

Manage the Freight Forwarders and customs broker performance to ensure a reliable service provided to business. Closely monitor customs clearance efficiency, demurrage and detention etc.

Broker screening and evaluation based on Lubrizol requirement and standard. Ensure the I/E operation is fully compliant with Trade Compliance regulations.

Set up and implement vendor management programs in terms of standards, KPIs and escalation process etc. Engage 3rd party logistics (3PL) services providers from issue resolving to systematic win-win solutions.

Ensure that the 3PL operation manuals are up-to-date, controlled, revised according to business needs.

Optimize internal SAP process in managing I/E and customs & trade related activities.

Owns the logistics performance metrics in the responsible area. Investigate, analyze the deviations and identify actions / projects to improve the bottom line.

Continuously improve logistics process efficiency and resiliency by leveraging available technologies and tools.

Engage with the oversea teams on improvement opportunities, such as documentations, labels, Freight forwarder management, freight optimization etc.

Support functional leader to define Broker and Freight forwarder sourcing and operation strategy, e.g. sea freight and airfreight.

COMMUNICATION / CONTACTS:

Internal: Regional / Global business Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, Logistics COE / Trade Compliance, Logistics Purchasing etc.

External: PL vendors (FFs, Brokers).

Knowledge, technical/professional skill:

Bachelor’s degree or above

A min 5 years of hands on logistics experience

Vendor management of Freight forwarders, customs brokers etc.

Profound knowledge in International Trade (MPC, airfreight etc)

Experience in Trade & Compliance is preferred.
