Job Title: China Logistics Manager

Division: Operations

BU/Function: Supply Chain

Location: Shanghai, China

Summary of Responsibilities:

Manage the logistics operation in China, responsibilities include Road Transportation, Warehousing, Import and Export, Marine and Terminal, Site logistics etc. Ensure Lubrizol logistics operation comply with all applicable company standards and applicable rules & regulations in the country. Drive continuous improvement in safety, service, quality and productivity performance.

Set up and implement vendor management programs in terms of standards, KPIs and escalation process etc. Engage 3rd party logistics (3PL) services providers from issue resolving to systematic win-win solutions.

Ensure that the 3PL operation manuals are up-to-date, controlled, revised according to business needs. Benchmark and apply industry best practices.

Provide insight on local logistics regulatory environment as well as industry trend. Collaborate with log purchasing to define sourcing strategy to ensure Lubrizol’s sustainable logistics performance with competitive edge.

Ensure a satisfied customer experience with all logistics touch points. Lead business engagement council to collect business requirement and provide proactive operation feedback.

Manage both tactical and strategic service offering to businesses based on logistics industry market dynamics.

Owns the logistics performance metrics in the responsible area. Investigate, analyze the deviations and identify actions / projects to improve the bottom line.

Continuously improve logistics process efficiency and resiliency by leveraging available technologies.

Being an effective people leader, develop talents, provide coaching and motivate overall team performance

External: 3PL vendors, customers.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, technical/professional skill:

Bachelor’s degree or above

A min 8 years of hands on logistics experience

Vendor management of Freight forwarders, customs brokers, Warehouse and Transportation.

Profound knowledge in International Trade, as well as China logistics operation environment.

A mature people leader with proven record

Experience in chemical industry is preferred.
