The role of a Project buyer is to be purchasing responsible in the KBD-NPI /PIP project team and to support a successful launch of the project in line with purchasing strategies and project targets.

Key responsibility:

• Main representative in KBD-NPI/PIP project with responsibility to perform purchasing activity.
• Attend Project kick off meeting to collect all necessary information related to purchasing and regular project meeting to get all updated information and also feedback the purchasing status to CFT.
• Inform Category purchasing team about project and set up sourcing plan. Support Category purchasing team to get all necessary documents from CFT.
• Control project Milestone and Budget with regular internal review and escalate the unexpected situation to CFT.
• Coordinate & Challenge Category purchasing inside purchasing as well as SQD, R&D, and PM/Sales externally.
• Follow up development phase with supplier to secure on time PPAP and SOP.
• ECN implementation, RFQ, Negotiation, and get approval before SOP.

Required:

• Educated to degree level or relevant qualification

• Commercial background, attention to detail, appreciation of Global economics

• Experience in procurement and dealing with direct material into manufacturing operations

• Excellent negotiation skills

• Good communication skills, both written and oral, at all levels

• Computer literate and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems and ERP

• Organisation skills, ability to prioritize

• Accustomed to travel Internationally as part of role function

• APQP, audits, R@R, PPAP

• Minimum 3 years Automotive experience within a manufacturing facility
