JOB DESCRIPTION

- Responsible for Optical component and subassembly qualification test, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting. Performs Optical/electrical measurements and analysis of Optical subsystems and components. Perform optical performance analysis  and optimization at component and system level.

- Develops test plans, creates test procedures, Performs tests and data reduction and evaluates test data. Modifies designs based upon test results.

-  Candidate need to be able to manage/contact suppliers together with Coriant Global Optics Sourcing team.

- May lead circuit design as needed which includes part selection, schematic design and capture, routing constraints, and signal integrity analysis, PCB layout review.

- Drive and conduct design verification together with basic card SW and FPGA/CPLD designers.

- Take charge of document deliverables, including hardware design documentations, test results, Integration and Manufacturing Test plans.

 

REQUIREMENTS              

-  Minimum 5 years’ experience in the optical component validation or design with BSEE or MSEE degree.

-  Deep knowledge in fiber optics communication system. Experienced in optical qualification test.

-  Hands-on experience in testing and characterizing of laser, receiver, transceiver, transponders, optical amplifiers, wavelength management and switching products, familiar with various optical test equipment  and platforms, related optical alignment, calibration etc.

- Familiar with SFP+, XFP, QSFP+/QSFP28 and CFP2/4 multi-source agreement and IEEE802.3 specification.

- Ability to generate the test report to depict the test result gracefully.

-  Familiar with coherent optical communication system of 100G and beyond 100G is a plus.

-  Understanding of fiber optical component manufacturing process will be a plus.

- Experience in test equipment used in hardware verification, like traffic generator for transportation protocol, high speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and microprocessor debugger.

- Good understanding of BSP/Driver, CPLD/FPGA design.

- Demonstrate fundamental understanding for fiber optical component technologies and engineering.

- Analog and digital electronics working knowledge and design experience is a plus.

- Proficient knowledge of high speed circuit design, power supply design and layout of high speed and density PCB is a plus.

- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills in both English and Marian.

- Must be self-motivated, and good team player, excellent internal customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.
