    Job Description  

The Azure Data Architect role drives high priority customer initiatives, leveraging Azure data services to solve the biggest and most complex data challenges faced by Accenture’s enterprise customers. The Azure Data Architect owns the Azure Data Services technical architecture: data architecture design sessions, implementation projects and/or Proofs of Concepts. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture and design discussions with clients.

  Key Responsibilities  

• Interface with delivery teams to design Azure data services solutions.

• Architect scalable data processing and analytics solutions

• Design, coordinate and execute pilots, prototypes or proof of concepts, provide validation on specific scenarios.
  
  

      Experience Required  

• 7+ years of experience with deep understanding in both traditional and modern data architecture and processing concepts, including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle), Data warehousing, big data (Hadoop, Spark, Storm), NoSQL, and business analytics

• 7+ years of success in consultative/complex technical deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions)

• Understanding of big data use-cases and Hadoop-based design patterns

• Knowledge of real time/stream analytics trends

• 7+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of complex application/data architectures (i.e. having an architectural sense for connecting data sources, data visualization, structured and unstructured data, etc.)

• Demonstrable hands on experience implementing Big Data solutions.

  
  
  

              Technical Requirements  

• Familiarity with Data Architecture design tools is a must.

• Production experience in Hadoop or Azure HDInsight is a must.

• Production experience in Apache Spark is a must

• Experience of data architecture design that utilize Azure is preferred

• Experience in Azure SQL DB/DW, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Machine Learning, Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or CosmosDB is preferred

• Experience of advanced data analytics and insights techniques (e.g., predictive, segmentation, recommendation and sentiment analytics, machine learning techniques) is a big plus

• Experience in Python or R data analytics is a plus

• Experience of Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense is a plus

• Experience in ETL is a plus

• Experience in Agile or Scrum is a plus

• Experience writing and responding to RFP/RFI documents is a plus
  
  

                      Education  

• Technical BS degree or above, Computer Science or Math background highly desired
