KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
?Work with account teams to develop fit for purpose packaging for all new products, that is packaging which is acceptable to the customer, commercially viable and workable at production sites.
?Liaise with production sites and packaging suppliers to identify most cost effective sources of packaging.
?For existing products identify packaging cost savings.
?Develop new innovative packaging for customer products.
?Liaise with production sites to reduce where possible secondary and tertiary packaging whilst maintaining the ability to transit products in tact to the end customer.
?checking packaging for suitability and testing for performance under various conditions
?controlling production and quality standards

?writing reports
?keep up-to-date with technological innovations
?support Artwork & Printing development.


SCOPE
All aspects of packaging (primary, secondary, tertiary) for Home and Personal Care goods.
Retailer and own label brands for mainly International customers and some Chinese market.


ACCOUNTABILITY
Over all packaging quality - fit for purpose.
Packaging reduction programmes - reduce, re-use recycle.
Packaging performance to meet customer expectations
On-time and in full delivery of packaging for all customer orders
Packaging innovation
Packaging cost engineering

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years work experience in relevant fields of packaging
Minimum Bachelor Degree or above in packaging science or related area.
Good written English.
Good Spoken English
Appreciation of commercial world
