BASIC FUNCTIONS

Ensure the import/export material timely, payment of duties and freight correct. Conform to Materials Bonded Handbook and conduct import/export material under Materials Bonded Process.

 

ESSENTIAL or FUNDAMENTAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage the materials of the pipelines. Keep track of shipment status and connect with forwarder(s) and broker(s) to guarantee material importing/exporting on schedule;

2. Manage forwarders and brokers to secure cost and speed consistency on basis of Emerson logistics policy. Timely deliver performance reports of forwarders and brokers;

3. Take responsibilities for handling customs duties and other charges. Manage database of duty classification and rates;

4. Be able to apply Materials Bonded Handbook and conduct material bonded procedures;

5. Ensure adequate handbook. Manage the certificate of origin (COO). Organize and maintain documentation for retention period;

6. Provide initiatives of import/export cost reduction;

7. Support the activities of new project(s); consolidate/de-consolidate the lean logistics network;

8. Monitor import/export times and develop new approaches to improve the efficiency;

9. Audit freight bills, log as required for timely payment;

10. Other tasks assigned by the supervisor/manager;

     

    Customers Related

     

    Internal Customer:   all related function/corporate logistics

    External Customer:   forwarder/broker/China customs

     

    REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES)

     

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education experience, supply chain/logistics is preferred;

2. Good English in oral and writing. Other language is a plus;

3. At least 3 years’ experience on import/export, international trade and Materials Bonded Handbook management, holding the AEO certificate is a plus;

4. Operation experience involving ocean/ air/ truck/train international freight, forwarding sourcing and contracting;

5. Strong skills in logistics cost analysis, network design and optimization, performance measurement reporting and problem solving;

6. Strong interpersonal communication skills;

7. Organized and disciplined.
