Main responsibilities and activities

-          Provide technical service to customers with regards to technical issues (before and after sales)

-          Technically support the Sales Manager in order to plan the market development of new products and the introduction of existing company products in new market segments and applications with particular reference to EPDM;

-          Monitor market trends and the needs of customers and end-users with regards to products, applications, process technologies;

-          Contribute to quality claims management, carrying out, at the customers site, technical analysis and economic evaluations of the damages;

-          Follow up the materials sampling and provide adequate technical support to customers on site;

-          Propose to the headquarters, in agreement with Sales Manager, action plans for existing and new customers, and implement approved actions;

-          Ensure that necessary technical documentation is available and updated.

Knowledge, qualifications and experience

-          An appropriate university technical degree qualification (chemical or materials engineering, industrial chemistry).

-          a minimum of 5 years of technical experience in multinational companies producing, distributing or transforming synthetic rubbers such as SBR, BR, EP(D)M, NBR or TPR.

-          appropriate knowledge of Office package at a user level: MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook

Languages:

-          proficiency in English

-          native language Chinese

Flexibility, problem solving, negotiation skills, high orientation to the goals, ability to work both independently, and as a member of a team. Excellent communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills, resilience.

Availability to extensively travel in China and Asia.
