Summary

Under general supervision, the Software Engineer II will contribute to design sessions, perform coding and code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, ensure quality deliverables/releases and will adhere to the established SDLC guidelines.

 

Responsibilities

• Understands requirements and develops technical designs
• Discovers and shares lessons learned and best practices
• Documents and updates new and existing documentation with latest learnings
• Authors programming tasks for a user story
• Debugs own code
• Implements unit testing within own code
• Documents technical specifications around own code.
• Participates in and sometimes leads peer code reviews
• Participates in effort to drive overall code testability
• Participates in team project planning.
• Performs functional analysis for small to moderate projects.
• Works on multiple projects concurrently.
• Contributes to on-time and on budget project goals.
• Maintains status of project responsibilities.
• Works across teams to achieve group goals.
• Participates in user/external group discussions.
• Maintains user/external group relationships.
• Perform other duties as needed.

 

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s  degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience 

·         5 years of software development experience

·         Good experience on DB performance monitoring, tuning and alerting

·         Family with SQL profiler, Performance Monitor, Replication, Resource Governor etc

·         Good grasp of database basics like locking, isolation levels, blocking, deadlocks

·         Well knowledge on Database skill and optimize complex store procedure

·         Familiar with SSIS packages and ETL development
