Mingzhu Nerval, a landscape design and engineering studio is looking for its Admin/Office Manager. Directly reporting to the General Manager for China (Italian), you will be responsible to manage and develop our back-office (Finance, HR, IT, Secretarial duties).
The suitable candidate has excellent methodology/organization skills, relevant professional experience benchmarked on international best practices, and the desire to embark on the domestic and global leadership of a Shanghai-born company.
For this initial stage, your autonomy and capacity to propose/implement ideas will be a key factor for our and your success.
In a second stage, you will have the opportunity to support our company’s development in other countries.

Skills/requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in Chinese and English + international mindset
- Excellent use of Microsoft Pack Office, especially Excel
- University degree

- Start-up and international working experience
- Creative, interest in arts and/or plants/nature
- Experience in the Design/Architecture industry
- Education background and/or in Chinese literature (中文系)
Responsibilities:
1. Finance
1.1. Management of the in-out cash flows;
1.2. Financial controlling – regular analysis/reports of the company’s financial health;
1.3 Liaise with the CPA to adhere to financial controls and compliance with regulations
2. Human Resources
2.2 Ensure that everyone in the current team is happy and that the company fully benefits from their skills;
2.3 Recruit new talents – from highly educated to blue-collar candidates, Chinese and foreigners, in China and overseas;
2.4 Liaise with the CPA for all legal-related HR issues (insurance, etc.).
3. Legal
3.1. Liaise with our lawyer to make sure all contracts and legal documents are up to date;
3.2. Ensure that contracts are well-written. Adapt new contracts to specific projects when needed.
4. Secretarial Duties
4.1. Answer calls and re-direct to responsible team member. Ensure that all incoming calls/requests are fully answered;
4.2. Respond to requests and queries on Chinese language and culture;
5. IT
5.1. Liaise with IT consultant to build a modern/reliable system enabling smooth local and global management/communication.
6. Miscellaneous
6.1. Supervise the general life quality of the office;
6.2. When needed, find new office space, source team corporate uniforms, etc.
