Principal Accountabilities:

? Develop and implement packaging design of all products packaging
- Work with our marketing and engineering teams to address packaging design expectations as requested including new and revisions to existing items.
- Develop new artwork in accordance to the specifications and the instructions to customer.
- Develop design layout and prototype packaging parts and assembly drawings.
- Seek alternative designs or materials to reduce costs
- Maintaining and updating drawings per Engineering Change Notices.
- Create necessary documentation for implementation of packaging design changes (ECN process)
- Manage the packaging task within the project schedule.

? Recommend and follow quality control procedures to insure that all packaging will meet functional and quality requirements.
- Reliability analysis at design conception.
- Performing tolerances and worst case study.
- Provide direction to quality department in evaluating inspection data of all first production parts.
- Develop and implement solutions to address customer complaints related to packaging.

Training / experience required to perform job:

- Experience with design of multiple package types: box, shipper carton, label, poly-bag, blister cards, clamshells etc….
- A working knowledge of printing, manufacturing and packaging material analysis.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign. Knowledge of other parts of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) are desired.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Degree in packaging /or printing /or mechanical with the three years of experience in this field.
- Good communication skill both written and verbal with colleague and supplier.
