What You Will Do

• Rapid wireless technology evolution has driven the RF front end design more and more complicated and high cost ratio in the whole Telematics product, the high experienced RF engineer/expert is required for the RF front end architecture definition in Harman telematics platform and also detail design in the customer programs.
•  Work together with global teams in Germany/US/Korea/India for the internal platform development and also global customers.

·         Responsible for RF part of wireless function block(V2X, DSRC, WIFI, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS/Glonass/Beidou, 2G/3G/LTE/5G, V2X...), design schematic,  simulate and guide the layout engineers for wireless related block.

·         Responsible for the RF performance tuning (de-sense) and verification.  Support HWQ team to do qualification and Certification.

·         Familiar with the major stream RF technology and components (PA, Switch, Filter) .

·         Familiar with the major modem Chipset platform and modular approach for the modem design.

·         Familiar with the Frequency band allocation in different region and different network operators globally and keep tracking/monitoring the update. Track the wireless standard evoluation including IEEE 802.11x, 3GPP…

·         Analyze Car OEMs’ wireless requirement spec during RFQ phase and come out the RF front end architecture and wireless hardware solution concept with the support from architecture experts in CoC System/ connectivity and Telematics PG.

·         Work closely with Wireless/RF chipset suppliers and make benchmarking internally.

·         Work with HW Qualification team to ensure the product compliant with regulation and customer reliability requirement

·         Work with Advanced manufacturing team to ensure the design fits production, and support them define the manufacturing test specification.

·         Support the ODM suppliers who design and produce wireless products for Harman. Review technical reports and verify/qualify samples in each sample phase.

·         Support the RF related failures found from manufacturing plants or in the field.

What You Need

• This section should have no more than 5 bullets
• More than 5 years experience in RF modules development with 2G/3G/LTE/5G/V2X wireless application, including all steps such as pre-studies, development and certification
• Bachelor Degree with E&E or RF major minimum
• Strong experience in of RF design, simulation to guide the PCB design.

·         General hardware development methodologies, especially radio transmission techniques.

• Good knowledge for Bluetooth/WIFI/2G/3G/LTE/5G/GNSS/NFC/V2X  test equipment.

What is Nice to Have

• Nice to have the experience of developing RF products for Automotive.
• Nice to have the experience of antenna design and testing on latest generation mobile phones.
• Nice to have the experience of GCF/PTCRB certification (both conductive and OTA).
• Nice to have the experience of using the HFSS/CST tool for simulation.  

What Makes You Eligible
