Job Description

  

Position: R&D Chemist

  

Chemist in charge of developing projects in Structural adhesive, Dielectric encapsulation resin and composites .

  

  

Assist the R&D project manager to develop new formulations .

  

Search & source new raw material, 

  

 Test & develop materials.

  

 Formulate the new products in Laboratory.

  

Test the new product internally or externally.

  

Cooperate with the China Market manager and other business unit to follow customer technical requirements.

  

Cooperate and communicate with R&D teams in France , Germany and Switzerland .

  

Keep yourself updated with latest technologies and materials.

  

Training: A technical training & exchange in China will be planned the first year. R&D training and seminars once a year is then planned within the Sika organization in China and Europe.

  

Potential career development: R&D project manager , Laboratory Manager or Technical Manager in the entity or in other Sika group entities.

  

   

  

 

  

Job Requirements:

  

Master degree in Chemistry, Polymer or Material sciences.

  

Open to newly graduated.

  

Minimum 2 to 5-year experience is a plus. Experience in Epoxy or Polyurethane is a plus. 

  

Fast learner and hand on experience on product application and technical process of tooling or composite Strong communication and interpersonal skills，Hard work and team work spirit are necessary.

  

Fluent in oral and written English. 

  

 Good knowledge and skills on office software

The China entity is located in Shanghai Pudong in Waigaoqiao free trade zone and employ 60 persons including production, R&D, administration and a sales force spread all over China.
