Key Responsibilities

The  BI Analyst should have a natural affinity for numbers and need to build reporting and dig out valueable insights via BI tools like Tableau, Power BI and Datorama. The main job work content is to build BI solution according to different business sinarinares and requirements for clients to increase their ROI. The candidate should have knowledge of Datawarehourse, SQL and data visualization. Good communication and clear logic mind is required.

• Client facing and gathering business requirments for BI solutions
• Cooperate with Data team to do data research in order to find key available data fields which is valuable and need to be used in the BI solutions.
• Cooperate with BI manager to design the data mart layer and sql in order to let Data team build back-end data tables.
• Cooperate with BI manager design the BI reporting wireframe, storyline and KPI framework.
• Develop BI visual mockup using excel or other prototype tools.
• Develop BI reporting using BI tools like tableau, power bi or datorama.
• Leverage solutions and tools to provide insights on driving client’s campaigns and objectives.
• Generate BI document and give training to clients of how to leverage BI solution to drive their own business.
• Partner with Merkle’s US and APAC teams to help drive services and delivery at scale

This position reports to the Manager of Analytics.

Key Skills and Experience

What This Position Requires

• Bachelor or master degree in Database Marketing, Computer Science, Information Management, Math/Statistics, Engineering or other related majors
• 2+ years hands-on experience in BI solution development.
• Familiar with data warehouse knowledge and master of sql skills is required.
• Good communication skills. Strong English speaking and writing skills
• Familiar with popular BI tools like tableau, power bi is a plus
• Mathematics/statistics skills and natural affinity for numbers is a plus
• Working experience with JAVA,HTML,JS,R, SAS, web analytics, media analytics or high-level scripting language is a plus
• Strong work ethic and drive to learn as much as possible within the digital marketing space

• Familiarity with digital marketing channel (Paid Search, Organic Search, Paid Social, Earned Social, Display, Email)
• Some experience with digital marketing preferred
