Role Description

The Marketing & Communications Senior Officer (MCO-C) is responsible for the management and execution of Place Design Group's Marketing Strategies and Plans in China. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the MCO-C will play an integral role in promoting our organisational brand to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring consistency with corporate message whilst tailored positioning for each market. The MCO-C will have a commitment to high standards of presentation and execution as well as contributing to an environment of excellence and integrity. An active participant in the Corporate team, the MCO-C will promote a collaborative and proactive team approach.

The MCO-C will manage the following areas:

1. COMMUNICATIONS

2. MARKETING

3. RELATIONSHIPS

4. COMPLIANCE

5. MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING

As part of the management of the above 5 key business areas, the MCO-C will be responsible for:

？ Assist the Marketing & Communications Manager to develop Marketing strategies for China

？ Manage and implement marketing and communications plan within China

？ Management of the brand within China both internally and externally to ensure adherence to identity and brand guidelines

？ Provide central point of reference to handle marketing needs and expectation of each China Office Principal and business unit

？ Communicate with China offices to understand and hence communicate messages and stories for both internal and external distribution

？ Manage public relations activities across China including media liaison and management, event and conference management, sponsorship coordination, and award participation

？ Manage social media portals within China

？ Develop marketing collateral

？ Work in partnership with the Marketing & Communications Executive-Aus/SEA to achieve a group level integrated marketing and communications approach

？ Monitor, report and review on all China marketing activities and results, including marketing budget

Core Competencies /Prerequisites

Qualifications

？ Professional tertiary qualifications in Communications, PR or Marketing

Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

？ Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years' experience in communications or marketing role

？ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

？ Bilingual – English and Chinese

？ Ability to use own initiative and work under pressure

？ Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

？ Excellent organisational and time management skills

？ Ability to work autonomously and within a team

？ Excellent understanding of social media and mainstream media (print, tv, radio)

？ High level knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and social networking media

Desirable Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

？ Awareness of urban design and architectural trends

？ Experience in Wordpress
