Job Description
The Platform Application Engineer(PAE) is primarily a Sr. Ethernet Software Engineer with in depth Ethernet related product development experience. The PAE act as consultants and provide deep dive technical support to customers in Ethernet product development with remote backend support from division. Significant contribution also result when the PAE acts as a product evangelist, program/project manager, and prepare collateral material as needed to capture methods and demonstrate their results.
Key Duties and responsibilities: provide deep dive technical support to customers in Ethernet product development, from Ethernet controller, Driver, API/SDK, to Protocol/Stack, from architecture/design review to power on, function validation and production.

Qualifications

？ Expert level development experience in Ethernet driver/SDK, L2/L3 stack in switch/router, Ethernet, IA OEM/ODM Server, BIOS, FW, network communications, etc.
？ Diagnose and triage functionality and/or performance issues. Identification and isolation of problems to application, network stack, drivers or low level API.
？ Experience with SoC silicon/product application development.
？ Experience in multiple Network technologies (primarily Ethernet or XYZ over Ethernet), project implementation, network maintenance, support, trouble resolution, and root cause analysis.
？ Support experience to CSP/IPDC, MNC/OEM/ODM, Enterprise system designers/developers during design-in product life cycle.
？ Experience in development and documentation activities for customer applications and internal API's.
？ Knowledgeable in Datacenter and Cloud infrastructures and operations, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Networking, and Storage, low latency as in HPC/FSI.
？ Hands on experience with lab equipment as Spirent TestCenter/IXIA, high speed scope, etc.

Experience with following is needed:
？ Routing and switching, Ethernet, Telecom, virtualization, storage, compute and design
？ Highly knowledgeable in BIOS, BMC, FW, PLDM, PCIe, OVS, QoS, TCP/UDP, Multicast, GRE, NVGRE, VXLAN, VLANs, RDMA/ROCE/IWARP, STP, OSPF/BGP, MPLS IP
？ Experience with Virtualization; Tunneling, multi-tenancy, isolation, and firewalls feature development
？ 3+ years experience in Ethernet Controller/Switch driver development.
？ Experience with 3rd Party Routers (e.g. Cisco, Huawei, ZTE, H3C)
？ 5+ years experience in Internet/WAN/MAN/LAN Network product Software/System engineering
？ 3 years experience in Router, Switch and IP configuration/management
？ Past experience with firmware, FPGA programming a plus
？ Experience with SoC silicon/product development.
？ Fluent and effective communication, presentation and documentation skills, both written and verbal in Mandarin and English
？ Self-motivated, multi-task effective, ability to work independently and also in teams
？ Able to travel
