1. Coordination and assurance of worldwide timely, quality and cost optimal procurement of purchasing parts, tools and supplier related equipments within the assigned global component family. 2. Inquiries and evaluations of supplier offers based on the released global component family strategy and supplier strategy. 3. Coordination (time schedule, location, participants) and execution of pricing negotiations with the individually assigned A-/B-suppliers within the given negotiation scope including independent preparation and presentation of awarding suppliers for decision board steering committee and causation of the supplier decision. 4. Organization and moderation of technical meetings (feasibility study / manufacturability / tooling concepts / etc.) with suppliers, including the necessary specialist functions. 5. Organization and execution of progress reviews with suppliers to ensure the internal production start as well as escalation levels for supplier related problems. 6. Evaluation of the supplier performance within the project in the SAP-system (supplier rating system). 7. Continuous analysis and identification of trends within the component group in close alignment the commodity group. 8. Identification and indication of cost reduction potentials as well as ensuring of their global implementation for profit improvement (Value Analyses / Value Engineering / RACE) according to target objectives and after the approval of the Component Purchasing Manager as well as the Project Purchasing Manager. 9. Implementation and continuous evaluation of the global component capacities based on the project demand planning. 10. Calculation of the specific component demand based on the strategy of the Business Division and Product Division (e.g. supplier footprint, technology roadmap, product roadmap) as well as bundling of procurement data within the component family based on the global sourcing calendar.
