Job Description

To ensure that the proposed designs, our proposals and new products adhere to safety requirements. Familiar with international and industrial best safe practice.
Responsibilities

? Responsible for HSE engineering project teams executing process safety and environment activities on FEED and EPC projects.
? Preparation of technical reports, supervising others, managing the work flow and ensuring that man hour budgets are not exceeded.
? Knowledge in Process Safety Management (PSM).
? Support and development and implementation of PSM activities.
? developing and implementing specific projects and programmes to ensure requirements of PSM standards
? Providing technical mentoring and support to personnel to improve their skills and understanding of the requirements of PSM.
? Undertaking base business activities in support of PSM including facilitating Risk Assessments, leading PHA’s / HAZOP’s, performing LOPA
assessments and governing the MOC process.
? Ensuring sustainability is a key consideration in all improvements and through monitoring and supporting the completion of risk reduction activities
such as PHA's, Audit actions and Insurer recommendations.
Requirements

Bachelor degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering,
Has Professional level in HSE
? minimum of 8 years experience within the refining, chemicals or in a process safety role.
? Experience in Process Safety Management (PSM/NEP), Risk Management, PHA/LOPA Facilitation, Fire Protection, Consequence Analysis
Knowledge and experience in the following:- Oil & Gas production, LNG systems, Utility systems, Compressor systems, boiler systems, flare &
blowdown,
? Working knowledge of and appreciation for process safety engineering procedures, practices, systems, activities and technologies along with an understanding of government codes and regulations and their application to the hydrocarbon industry are critical to this role
? Experience in Process Safety Management (PSM/NEP), Risk Management (including QRA, FERA, ECSA, ETRERA), PHA/LOPA Facilitation, safety and fire
fighting design, firewater demand calculation, firewater design, Consequence Analysis, hazardous area classification, escape route
? In-depth experience at all levels of a project life cycle – from concept through design and operations to troubleshooting
? Strong technical ability in process technology with an capability to identify and propose process improvements
? Strong technical ability in Process Safety ware packages such as FLARSIM, PIPNET etc.
