Brief Task Description

* Create interior and/or component design proposals while demonstrating exceptional design intuition, strong presentation and design communication skills to support APAC Design Studio.

* Interior design assignments will range from complete interior compartments to singular components such as instrument panels, door panels, center consoles, steering wheels, hard trim, seats and gauge clusters.

* Lead/Support coordination and execute new design initiatives that are required to support local production, advance interior/exterior model builds and show vehicle properties.

* Lead/Support APAC design projects from start to finish by providing appropriate vehicle themes that convey the spirit of each vehicle brand (Jeep, Fiat, Chrysler and others in future)

* Support Import/Local buzz model activities link to all APAC markets (China, India…) by working cross functionally with APAC planning and marketing teams.

* Support localization, production readiness and vehicle build issues

* Research and maintain a competitive digital benchmarking library

* Assist management tasks, train junior INT designers and help develop a competent regional design team

Qualifications

- Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, or BS in Industrial, Product, or Automotive Design

Experience:

  + 5-10 years of Industry automotive interior design experience

* Some experience of leading & supporting production interior design developments

Skills & Competence:

* Working knowledge of Alias, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Visualization Software (VRED)

* Strong presentation and design communication skills

* Ability to create both production and advanced design proposals while demonstrating exceptional design intuition

* Ability to artistically represent 2D and 3D concepts using a wide variety of presentation techniques, including manual/digital sketching, ALIAS, Photoshop and/or similar programs

* Experienced with manual and digital sketching

* Ability to work with a project team of technical engineers, clay sculptors and fabrication specialists

Must possess an exceptional awareness of the global state of automotive design concepts and emerging design trend
