Key responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of strategic international and financial communications plans for the company’s public affairs division to enhance and protect the reputation of Yum China globally.
• Participate actively in the development and implementation of the overall corporate communication strategy.
• Assist in the development and dissemination of the main messages based on Yum China and the business’s strategic vision, short term, annual and longer-term goals to the external audience.  This deliverable ensures consistent messaging and maximum external visibility of business products, services and leaders.
• Manage the agency relationships in managing key media communication vehicles including background briefings, press events, and one-on-one interviews.
• Manage the dissemination of information about the companies’ business development and key milestones, CSR activities to appropriate media outlets via press releases and various communications channels.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external clients, including: executives, Brand leaders, local market PA managers, reporters, editors, producers and bloggers.
• Plan and draft press collaterals including press release, newsletter, etc.
• Plan, draft and execute issues communication plans (as needed).
• Develop meaningful and actionable metrics to measure reach and effectiveness of media relations/KOL engagement activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field and 5-8 years communications experience covering organizational communications, PR or marketing communications.
• The ability to prepare strategic communications plans and deliver strategic advice/counsel to executives as well as the ability to deliver at the tactical level
• Excellent written communication, presentation and planning skills with demonstrated experience speaking and writing clearly and convincingly, tailoring communication methods to reporters’ requirements.
• Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully lead multiple projects/initiatives within communications/PR function; able to quickly grasp new ideas; able to simplify strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information, and communicating priorities clearly and concisely.
• Experience working across multiple levels in a highly matrixed environment (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver key messages effectively both verbally and in writing
• Broad experience with and knowledge of print, video and web technologies
• Fluent English language (oral and written). Experience in PR agency is a plus.

• Experience working in financial media with knowledge of consumer/retail industry.
