RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department and to develop the detailed schedule for Rotating Engineering and/or Design activities if any.

2. Prepare/Review equipment mechanical Datasheets, specification for the defined mechanical equipment as per relevant Technical Practices. Issue the material requisition for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions.

3. Review Vendors’ quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor.

4. Hold Vendor co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings to establish full understanding of scope of supply.

5. Cary out the following functions relative to Vendor documentation as: Review Vendor Drawings and Documentation as per relevant Technical Practices. Distribute Supplier documentation to the various Engineering and Drawing Office Groups and co-ordinate their comments. Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Supplier.

6. Correspond with the Vendor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary. Review relevant project design work and in particular: Engineering Flow Diagrams with reference to assigned equipment, Piping Layouts and Model with reference to assigned equipment.

7. Keep Lead Engineer informed about matters related to the following: Any major issue (design, schedule or manpower) the causes and proposed corrective action. Any unresolved difference with other Groups. Any request for changes by the Client which may constitute a contract change.

8. Participate in the HAZOP of Flow Diagrams if necessary.

9. Follow the Ethics of Confidentiality on technologies licensed by Client or Third Party.

10. Ensure Timely Production of Deliverables.

11. Ensure Project Filing is maintained as per Quality Procedures.

12. Carry out Proper Closeout of all project related work.

13. Ensure high Quality of work within the established/assigned man-hour budgets and schedule targets.

Skills/Qualification:

1. Candidate should be hold one Bachelor Degree on Chemical Equipment and Mechanism Discipline with above 5~10 years working experience on rotary equipment works; at least 5 years working experience on international engineering company rotating discipline; at least 5 years of experience in Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical /Power/Pharmaceutical Plant Projects. The relative equipment should including but not limited centrifugal pump, reciprocating pump, vacuum pump, metering pump, seal less pump, kinds of compressor(impeller type and positive type), agitator, cooling tower package, demineralized water package, chiller package etc.

2. Knowledge and experience on Chemical industries at rotary equipment calculation, selection and operating analysis and so on.

3. Familiar with International and China design codes and relative China regulations and standards, including but not limited API, ISO, ASME, ASTM, HI, SH, HG, GB.

4. Familiar with international engineering company working procedures, and with strong capacity on preparing Engineering Documentations, such as project specifications, MRs, TBE, Vendor’s documents reviewing and comments and so on.

5. Good computer skill at the Rotary equipment design software and normal software Excel, Word and CAD etc.

6. Solid teamwork spirit, and good communication skill with Client, Supplier and Contractors; good English language skill on both writing and speaking; be able to set up a good relationship with other disciplines in work.
