 ITID (Information Technology Infrastructure Delivery)Within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology, ITID implements and manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical to day-to-day operations for HSBC customer and user IT services, ensuring that issues are identified and resolved quickly to provide optimum levels of service with sufficient capacity, resilience and security. The division provides optimized and cost efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases in support of the services that are delivered from its data centers over both voice and data networks to desktops and other end-user devices throughout our business.  We are currently seeking high caliber professionals to join our team as Senior Technical Analyst . 

Principle Responsibilities 

• Main focus on Data Center facility management, to secure all project delivery follow the project schedule and change implementation within change management requirement.
•  Create plan for all facility project and changes.
•  Detect the potential risk and issue of Data Center.
•  Responsible for physical access management of Data Centers and provide full vendor escort throughout the vendor visit to Data Centers following the internal and regulatory requirements
•  Delivering power, cooling, and space associated with the installation of hardware as per the agreed location.
•  Ensure correct installation, change, move or demise process and procedure is followed always and quality maintained to provide the best service possible to both internal and external customers
• Stock Management, inward and outward management of equipment and materials.
•  Maintain the inventory of Data Centers equipment and assets by utilizing group standard software and tools? Responsible for assisting with the governance and policing of Data Centre floors.
• To undertake problem investigation and recovery.
•  Point of contact for all installations, moves, changes and demises within Data Centre.
•  Audits, Disposals of hardware, environment of computer room and Data Centre.
•  Assist in regular data center drill exercise
•  Liaison with incident management team and preparation of incident reports
•  Demonstrate effective teamwork and harmonious team environment.
•  Undertake the activities assigned by management

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

 

 

• Experience in installation, migration and demise of IT equipment within Data Centers  
• Skillful in facility related management, Understanding of underpinning Mechanical & Electrical Engineering relating to critical facilities (e.g. Uninterruptible Power Supply, Generator, Gas Suppression, etc.)
• Good at vender management and communication skills.
• Good at planning skills and following the schedule and plan
• Good sense of risk management and change management, including Problem, Change and Incident management.? Experience in installation, migration and demise of IT equipment within Data Centers
•  Understanding of data network and cabling technologies, principles and products
• Working knowledge of Data Centre Infrastructure Management tools such as Aperture
• General overview as to how a computer room floor is laid out and how modern server, storage and network infrastructure is integrated
• An awareness of IT hardware, software, operations and networks
• Proven technical awareness in an IT role
• Be able to enforce the quality policies and processes used in HSBC
• Strong teamwork, organization, complex problem resolution, initiative
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command in oral and written English
• PC / Office skills (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes etc.)Special Requirement:
• Willing to attend shift duties and overtime works in odd hours
• CDCP/CDFOM/CDCS/CDCE certificated is preferred.
