Job title: Procurement Manager- Process

Reports to: Director Procurement

Subordinate: 1

Working location: Shanghai, China

Responsibilities:

establishing and maintaining procurement processes and policies.

· Responsible for the creation of new policies as well as maintaining / updating existing policies during the standard annual release cycle (twice / year).

· Responsible for communication and business alignment with the procurement team and other SDT functions when necessary.

· Responsible for developing and conducting training for the procurement team (may include training with other functional groups).

· Development of new (lean) processes and systems, working collaboratively with our IT BRM to improve the procurement team’s effectiveness in their day to day job, eliminating non-value-added work, improve efficiency in daily tasks.

· Ensure highest level of compliance in accordance with IATF, SOX and other, regarding all processes and systems to reduce exposure/ risk by continuous refinement of our policies and procedures.

· Participate and support internal audits and remediation.

· Lead / support implementation of required changes within procurement and other functions when necessary.

· Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with our internal customers (Purchasing & SC leadership, BU team, commodity team, purchasing finance, supplier quality, MDM/CDE team, legal, Internal Audit, PMO).

Requirements:

· Experience in program buying, launch execution, direct and or indirect commodity strategy development & implementation, and be skilled in standard procurement processes & systems (SARA, SAA, SAC, Ariba, etc.).

· Program/project management, continuous improvement skillset is desired (lean administration, lean manufacturing, six sigma).

· Ability to communicate effectively across all regions in achieving overall goals and objectives of the department.

· Demonstrated ability to work well in team environment.

· Problem solving skills

· Ability to effectively working with China JVs to promote Adient PSOS and Procurement systems. Supporting China JVs to improve local process by conducting training, joining JV’s own projects, etc.

· Fluent in English

· Business degree is required, (can include finance or supply chain)

· At least 3-5 years in purchasing related area, automotive industry experience is preferred
