Specific duties and responsibilities

1.     Determination of functional and non-functional hardware requirements.

2.     Design of circuit diagrams based on existing concepts.

3.     Generate appropriate hardware document. (e.g. EMC-Test plan).

4.     Perform worst case calculation (thermal and electrical) for components.

5.     Perform electrical simulations of sub-circuits (e.g. with P-Spice).

6.     Perform ESD-, EMC- and electrical tests at released test labs.

7.     HW relating problem-solving and countermeasure in case of deviations to the electrical specification.  

Specialized knowledge and skils  

1.     Experience in hardware development and familiar with schematic design for high voltage automotive electronics.  2.     Experience with circuitry design tools and simulation tools (e.g. OrCAD; P-Spice).

3.     Knowledge of high voltage automotive components, e.g. IGBT′s (Insulated-gate bipolar transistor).

4.     Good experience in working in   an international team together with German and Chinese colleague
