Purpose:

Responsible for driving the presales process towards informed and effective bid decisions by providing the project and management teams with timely, relevant, comprehensive and accurate recommendation

Responsibilies:

• Lead the presales process in terms of deliverables, reviews, and approvals according to the proposal time frame.
• Understand the opportunities in terms of customer requirements, timing, costs, risks, features, competition and any other area impacting bid content and strategy.
• Generate the sales quotes and present them to management teams for informed bid decisions.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure the consistency of the commercial proposal with the agreed bid strategy, financials and content.
• Ensure effective dissemination of appropriate pre-sales information within the project teams.
• Enable bid discussions that support business growth, strategy and profitability.
• Interact with technical staff, product teams and other relevant departments in order to be aware of technology advances and competition.
• Involve required parties for quotation based on the model and individual customer requirements.
• Contribute to the regular updates of the quote model and the improvement of the overall quote process.
• Occasionally may take part in sales contract negotiations.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce

Requirements:

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the function and Flextronics business.
• Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
• Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation package
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
