Job Summary:    

This position has the responsibility for the quality control of outsourcing chemical process equipment.

Functional Job Duties:

• Read the project specification/Standard and understand the requirement.
• Review the relevant fabrication procedure documents of vendor.
• Review the final MRB submitted by the vendor.
• Develop the ITP per the project.
• Budget proposal of quality control for the project bidding.
• Work independently to perform the daily quality surveillance at the vendor workshop, in the whole process of the material, fabrication, assembly, coating and packing.
• Conduct PIM with vendor.
• Weekly/period surveillance report including the daily work report to the project manager and Procurement Manager.
• Support the expediting work.
• Independently communicate with the customer representative.
• Troubleshoot of quality issues found it the vendor.
• Work cross function from quality aspect.
• Audit the vendor per the quality requirement of the company/project.
• Willing to wear the necessary PPE required and assure to work under the HSE requirement.
• Full responsibility for the outsourcing products.

Qualifications:

• 5 years minimal experience in Quality Control.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings, customer specification, relevant standards.
• Familiar with one or more of the following Standards: AWS, ASME, and GB/SH/HG code applied in the field of Petro/Chemical equipment fabrication and construction.
• Familiar with the fabrication of steel structure and pressure vessels.
• Ability to review the relevant fabrication documents from the vendor, like WPS/PQR
•  with dimensional inspection.
• Knowledge of fabrication process of pressure vessel.
• Experience conducting and witnessing welding procedure qualification and welder qualifications.
• Experience conducting coating inspection to SSPC, NACE & ISO specifications.
• Experience as NDE Level II in one or more of the RT, UT, MT, PT and PMI.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of quality systems, nonconformance identification and methodical / statistical approach to quality improvement.
• Familiar with combustion equipment is preferred. 
• Current CWI or eq. qualification is preferred.

• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Good English read/written capability, ability to communicate with customer independently.
• Willing to travel around 70% of overall

• Must be able to do unaccompanied travel. 
• Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required. 
• Must be able to work overtime as required. 
• Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
