The Application Specialist provides a high-quality IT Service to stay competitive in an increasingly interconnected world. Atlas Copco′s digital journey continues, to enable us to run business at full speed. This position reports to the APAC Application Manager.

  

  

Job description

  

  

The main responsibilities are:

  

  

• Maintain expertise in areas of solutions including industry trends, strategies, and products to ensure that a multi-year investment strategy is in place to support future business needs.

• Analyze business and technical requirements in efforts to identify the best system design, potential issues, and related cost for each project request.

• Responsible for the solution architecture of the APAC region applications and structural changes.

• Proactively lead the development effort for the APAC IT Application Team and provide technical advice across domains.

• Provide advanced technical consulting and advice to others on proposal efforts, solution design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions.

• Manage and deliver large-scale Cloud native products/project with high quality.

• Support the project delivery and knowledge delivery organization with technical requirement guidance.

• Engage in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; need to develop new methods often to apply to the situation.

• Provide input to the company strategy moving forward.

• Work closely with the enterprise architect and solution owners of the Group to prepare strategies and define requirements in advance of application development and will have an deep knowledge of the application architecture.

• Drive the architecture aligned with solution owners and group architects.

• Follow both global and local market trends and emerging technologies.

• Build the architecture framework and guideline in APAC region.

• Provide guidance and direction to the various development and business groups on standards that drive quality, performance, security, total scalability, flexibility, user satisfaction and long-term maintainability.

                              

  

Experience requirements

  

• Demonstrating the capability to perform a solution architect across all aspects of a technology solution including integration, data, services, front-end, back-end, network, deployment, scaling, security, performance, and development.

• Practical experience with higher-level concepts and design patterns, integration patterns and middleware.

• Strong experience on API design, integration and service-oriented architecture.

• Good experience on Cloud platform e.g. AWS, Azure or Ali Cloud.

• 10+ years' experience on front-end development including 5+ years' experience on software architecture and solution proposal.

• Development skills, e.g. Java, C#, SQL, etc.

                    

Knowledge

  

• Fluent spoken and written English is a must

• Knowledge of security principles

• Expert knowledge of one of the agile development practices: Scrum, KanBan, Design Thinking

• Knowledge and experience in strategic planning on IT application/technology roadmap

• Practical presentation skills

            

  

Educational requirements

  

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related domains
