Essential Functions Statement(s)

· Understanding and interpreting engineering description, drawings, scope of work to define the cost.

· Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.

· Established the cost data base for the most common parts, sub-assembly to improve the working efficiency.

· Evaluates the alternatives cost upon the requirement.

· Interfaces with MEGTEC other regional office for the cost inquiry.

· Provides status reports to functional team and MEGTEC management for any extreme cost changes in advance.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

· Conceptual Thinking - Ability to think in terms of abstract ideas.

· Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.

· Communication/Coordination- Ability to effectively communicate with project managers, engineer and accounting team to complete the task.

· Basic accounting knowledge or cost structure for equipment- Ability to develop a cost sheet upon the technical description or scope of work. The cost is related to both Mechanical and electrical work.

· Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.

· Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree from Mechanical Engineering or related Major.

Experience: Three to five years related experience

Computer Skills

Comfortable to use Microsoft Office and other common software to perform the work.

Understand computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform the cost calculation upon the technical specification.

Other Requirements

Position works largely as a team member. Work requires independent judgment in the development of project, equipment and parts cost & budgets.
