THE ROLE

· Support the Hometextile category to deliver safe, legal and quality products.

· Conduct product evaluation and provide product development and technical expertise to category business teams.

· Managing and influencing internal & external stakeholders.

· Contribute towards the buying decision for new products by writing complete technical briefs.

· Determine testing requirements for products to the appropriate level of due diligence and regulatory compliance.

· Ensure products and suppliers meet all Woolworths Policies and Standards.

· Prior experience in factory operations and inspections in relation to quality

· Monitor returns and customer complaints, investigating where required and taking appropriate action to drive continuous improvement and ensure customer satisfaction.

· Conduct benchmarking & market reviews to drive quality standards within the category.

· Ensure all suppliers of Woolworths/ BIG W Branded products have appropriate technical and responsible Sourcing audit compliance prior to supply.

· Driver of emerging technology & developments that support the category innovation plan.

WHO YOU ARE

· Minimum 8 years' broad QA experience in an international buying office, with experience in textile and testing lab.

· Ability to operate in a fast paced culture of change.

· Successful track record of delivering safe, legal, quality products to the customer.

· Be able to demonstrate customer focus.

· Strong communication skills in English.

· Operate across product areas and multiple projects within category whilst meeting specified timelines.

· Willingness to conduct factory visits when required.

· Demonstrated supply and stakeholder management skills.

· Understanding of country and global supply chain processes.

· Risk assessment knowledge and practiced experience.

· Extensive demonstrated experience reviewing and releasing products for the retail market (Australian market knowledge highly advantageous).
