As a Traction Motor SQE Engineer, you will be part of the Motion Business and Motors and Generators (BU) Business unit, based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Motion Business offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

You will be responsible to make sure the products quality purchased from suppliers can meet the requirements defined by ABB. You shall have the expertise in terms of the responsible commodity manufacturing process, Testing and quality control. You will also take the responsibility to make sure the commodity assembly and testing process in subassembly level can meet the requirements defined by ABB in development stage and drive the continuous improvement in the mass production stage.

- Working together with sourcing for new supplier qualification and process audit.
- Leading PPAP of new component development at supplier.
- Leading quality improvements and process capability enhancement of critical suppliers.
- Managing supplier quality performance and implementing supplier accountability process.
- Monthly collecting and managing supplier quality KPIs.
- Working with QC to solve supplier NC in time and implementing preventive actions.
- Leading supplier issues solving from CCRP and preventive action implementation.
- Regularly organize supplier audit with cross function team.
- Mainly responsible for casting and machining commodities.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- Technical background, major in Materials will be a preferred.
- 3+ years of Supplier Quality Assurance experience or related quality filed in manufacture company.
- Experience in management on foundry and casting component management.
- Familiar with ISO 9000 or TS 16949 standards, skilled at supplier audits.
- Proficient in quality tools: PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, control plan, etc.
- Strong problem solving skill, such as 8D 5WHY, DOE,etc.
- Analytical, Attention to details, Commitment to Excellence, Problem solving.
- Communicate Effectively and great team work.
- Proactive & positive thinking/working style.
- Good experience of problem handling and solving.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
