Job Responsibilities:

• The role of IBG Lawyer is to provide legal support for the development and distribution of Institutional customers. The candidate shall familiar with China’s non-banking financial institutions laws, including assets management products sold of distributed by such no-banking FIs, familiar with custodian service, familiar with stock exchange related products. It is also to continually assess and control legal risks inherent in the business, taking into account changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, and the impact of new technology.
• To focus on the change and development of PRC law, regulatory requirements for banking, non-banking industry and Group standards to ensure such are reflected and complied in the internal procedure/guidance/policy, and relevant legal documents, negotiations and transactions.
• Through effective and smooth communication, to build and maintain relationship with the internal customers, mainly including T&M Sales and FIGs, Credit approvers, etc.
• To be able to identify and address legal risks through template/process control.
• To keep relevant internal customers informed of new developments in law or regulatory requirements relating to business development at China.
• To manage external lawyers (including litigation lawyers) to ensure that high quality and focused advice is received at reasonable cost in a timely manner, and to provide added value by providing assessment of relative merits and monitoring the performance of the external lawyers to ensure compliance and consistency with bank’s objectives and interest.

                                    

Job Requirements:

• Master degree or overseas law school education background is preferred.
• PRC lawyer qualified.
• Experience as an in-house counsel in non-banking industry, regulatory bodies like CSRC/ securities association or a lawyer in prestigious PRC or international law firms for over 8 years.
• Well knowledge of and practice in non-bank financial instructions, such as securities house, trust company.
• Willing to cooperate with Legal team members and self-motivated, able to work under high pressure, has aspiration to learn fast and smart.
• Knowledge and understanding of legal / regulatory requirements of PRC non- banking/financial services environment.
• Fluent written and oral skills in Chinese and English, analytical and solution-oriented.
